OUR MISSION, VALUES & POLICIES
ABOUT US

The Hampshire Hammerers, first and foremost, is a wargaming community. We sell escapism. A space for you to be yourself. Safe, included, and always welcome. In addition to our branded products and event services, every member of the Hammerers has an open opportunity to be creative and contribute to the worlds created through our games, including everything from creative writing and art, to event management.

The pillars supporting the Hampshire Hammerers are:

Exclusivity

  • We exclusively play Games Workshop & affiliated games at our club, and offer organised play events and role-playing experiences utilising their games’ systems.  The Hammerers was founded on this decision, and we will continue to create content & gaming spaces that celebrate their IP and universes, because we love it. We are in no official terms affiliated with the company, just huge fans.

  • In addition to dedicated club nights and organised play events, Hampshire Hammerers Wargaming also provides the rental of games, miniatures, gaming terrain, role playing source material, boards and accessories for our members to hire within and without our organised play events. The availability and pricing for these can be found in our products and services section, here:

  • We also offer branded merchandise including gaming airs and accessories as well as clothing and prizes for both our organised play events and as external event sponsorship.

  • We also offer exclusive products, services and merchandise as part of our Inner Chamber annual membership and for contribution to our Patreon. Hampshire Hammerers Wargaming is a registered business with companies’ house and our brand is a registered trademark. Hampshire Hammerers Wargaming to not give permission for anyone to use or company name and/or branding for any reason without our prior written consent.

Inclusivity

  • War-hammering is for everyone, and so is Hampshire Hammerers Wargaming. We understand that everyone’s ‘downtime’ and escapism is precious, and we are lucky to have grown such a fantastic community of members to share in this with. Escapism is our business, and we will always make protecting that time and experience for our members a priority.

  • We have always been, and will continue to be, proud to be an active part of the LGBTQ+ community. We’re here to game, and to enjoy the experience of gaming, with everyone.

  • Hampshire Hammerers Wargaming has a very strict policy of Zero Tolerance on all forms of discrimination, bullying, harassment and trolling. Anyone who genuinely makes another one of our members feel unwelcome within our event spaces, website and/or social media platforms will be removed permanently, often without warning, and will not be missed.

  • All Games Workshop and affiliated games are enjoyed at our club equally, and we do not tolerate members genuinely being made to feel that their chosen games system is less welcome or prioritised in place of any other. Altering a members’ game space, available resources or level of enjoyment for a particular games system by another member will be treated with similar attitude to our zero tolerance policy.

Community

  • We want all our Hampshire Hammerers Wargaming members to have access to contribute as much towards our hobby community as they would like. Whether writing articles for our website, event management or even appearing on our dedicated podcast & streaming channels, everyone is welcome to explore the aspect of the hobby they find most enjoyable with our full support and encouragement.

  • We actively want to support the promotion of retailers of Games Workshop and affiliated products, as well as organised play events hosted by other wargaming clubs and businesses. However we expect written request and/or consent to be received/sent before advertising through our website and/or social media platforms and Hampshire Hammerers Wargaming reserves the right to remove advertising without warning at our discretion. Typically this will only occur for organised play events that will clash with similar organised play events hosted by Hampshire Hammerers Wargaming of the same/similar games’ systems on or around the same date.

  • We are proud to be members of nationally recognised tournament scoring systems for inclusion at our events including the Great British Hobbit League.

  • We offer complimentary advertising for any business and/or club/organisation that Hampshire Hammerers Wargaming acquires products, services and sponsorship form. A list of these can be found in the allies section of our website, here:
